Canadian Parks Internship
Job Description:
This year, Parks Canada will celebrate the centennial of becoming the world’s first parks service. Through various forms celebrations and communications, Parks Canada hopes to create heightened sense of connection and pride by all
Canadians in their national treasures. To celebrate this landmark anniversary, Videography students will be challenged to film in various sites in the front and backcountry of Banff, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks and produce videos for Parks Canada’s website and YouTube channels. The intent is that these videos will be designed to resonate with young adults (18-24) and create a connection with this population.
Open to: Co-Operative Education Students currently enrolled in full-time studies and returning to school in the fall of 2011
Number of Positions: 1-2
Closing date: Applications must be received on or before April 21st, 2011.
What we are looking for in your Resume:
Education: Minimum of 1 year post secondary education with a specialization in Film and Video Production.
Language: English Essential
Experience:
In the use and operation of HDSLR and conventional video equipment;
Film editing with Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro;
Creative visual narrative and editing;
Audio recording and editing.
Conditions of Employment:
• Willingness to wear identifier clothing and safety equipment
• Willingness to work varied hours, weekends, holidays, overtime and adverse weather Conditions
